I'm PRETTY sure this is a Sagebrush Lizard, but I'm not sure if it's a male or female, I want to say female, because they say females may have faint of blue or none at all.
I absolutely adore this photograph, I feel like it's one of my best closeups of an animal. I was so happy when I took it.

Also, I know a few of these photos are from 2011, but I think I'm going to do the 365 day project! Soo...

EDIT: I am really proud of this photograph. This Sagebrush Lizard was kind enough to let me capture it's beauty. Thanks to this Lizard for inspiring me to do Project 366 (2012).
really wonderful photograph! but I think that changing the angle slightly might improve the impact, for example you could get a head on angle or make sure that you include his tail a bit more? you could also experiment with the macro setting and get some really cool close up shots of him ^.^ these are just suggestions as I am only an amateur photographer. . but still, really great photograph and a lovely looking lizard, love the detail of the woodgrain and the lizards skin, absolutely beautiful! will look forward to any new deviations and will be adding you to my watch list!! :3
