Mather Point

On our last day at the Grand Canyon I wanted to watch and photograph the sunrise, so we got up at 6 AM and figured Mather Point was the best and closest view to our hotel. I was tired, freezing, and just freaking cold! Of course this was back in January, but man! The clouds kind of messed up the sunrise, but I made the best out of it, so here is one of my favorite shots with the clouds playing shadows and the amazing light that goes on the canyon. Sunrise light alone is amazing, but you put it onto the canyon, and it is just breathtaking the way the colors change.
